Introduction

Welcome to my e-portfolio in Teaching Internship . My electronic portfolio is my representation of my journey as a practice teacher at Pedro D. Duncano National High School in the school year 2022–2023. You can learn more about me by reading my biography; you can also learn about my teaching and learning beliefs and take a look at my teaching internship journey. Not only that, but my e-portfolio also includes my forms, reflections and the lessons I've learned as practice teacher. To read all the contents on my e-portfolio, just go to the contents, then explore the part that you wish to see, and when it comes to my Lesson plan and forms , just click the title and it will direct you to my output, and if you wish to return, just click the back button.

Just like it was said in Proverbs 16:4: "The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble." Everything is created for a purpose, including this e-portfolio. As for myself, I created this e-portfolio so that I can compile my tasks, keep track of my accomplishments, and make it easier for me to trace my progress from the beginning up to the end of my Teaching Internship journey.

Biography

Khey An N. Roble, 22, is a naturally born Filipino who lives in P-1C Tiniwisan Butuan City. She is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Efren Roble. She has two older brothers and one sister named Efren, James, and Cristel. She is currently a 4th-year college student at Caraga State University, taking a bachelor of secondary education with a major in science. Aside from being a student, she is also a proud member of the Christian Catholic faith and serves in their community church as a lector.

As a young, motivated, and independent woman, she believes she can make a huge difference and change lives by serving as a medium for the youth to achieve their dreams through teaching, which is why she pursues teaching as a career.

Her hobbies are baking, singing, and solving puzzles. Also, she loves traveling from one place to another. She learns to value honesty and trust in her 22 years of existence and through her previous experiences. With this, she holds still the statement from Proverbs 3:3: "Let loyalty and truthfulness never leave you; tie them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart."

At this moment, she’s continuing to take one step at a time toward achieving her dreams in a life full of hope, believing that God is working on her behalf.

Beliefs in Teaching and Learning

Then

"I firmly believe teaching is fun and exciting, and I can barely picture it as a one-way process where the teacher provides lessons to his or her students inside the four-cornered classroom."

Now

"Teaching isn't always fun and exciting. It is tiring, stressful, and yet fulfilling. Teaching does not only focus on the lesson and the learner; it also focuses on the learners' attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors toward learning and their entire learning environment."

Reflection

Indeed, it is really true what they say—reality is different from you have thought, and you will realize it the moment you are already there. Way back when I still didn't have a duty as a student intern, I thought it would be easy, fun, and exciting without stress because all I had to do was make a lesson plan teach, assist our cooperating teacher, and nothing else—not even a quiz or an exam that had to be taken care of. Everything changed when I started my internship journey. Well, at first I believed what I thought was right, but it turns out I was wrong. I just thought it was right, but it wasn't. In my experiences, I have realized a lot, and the only thing I can really regret is that my perspective was too shallow. Moving on, on the days that I already take over as the learning facilitator to the students my stability as a teacher in the future was really measured. It was difficult and exhausting, and my voice was literally hoarse, but I was content; I felt genuine happiness.

Also, when our resource teacher gave me the opportunity to really be able to handle a class on my own, I felt so glad that finally even just for a while I will feel the real environment in my chosen career. Furthermore, through my internship journey, I realized the value of time and appreciated the teachers even more; they are truly great and amazing; they offer all of their strength, knowledge, presence, and patience for their students, and still they're able to balance it all with their personal lives.
